While the ceremony is conducted, women or female relatives of the couple hold a fine cloth, over the couple’s head. They alternate grinding the sugar cones over the bride and groom’s head, adding more sweetness to their life together. It is a symbolic act used to send good wishes to the happy newly weds.</p><h5> </h5><ol><li>ESFAND: A Persian incense that is burned and used to ward away the evil eye.The burning esfand is an important part of Iranian culture that ensures that the &#8220;evil eye&#8221; does not harm. At an Iranian wedding, as the bride walks down the aisle, one of the Bridesmaids burns Esfand and holds it around the bride several times.</li><li>THE MIRROR: Reflects what is before it, so symbolically it brings the couple abundance and brightness in their future. The candles bring passion and energy. Decorated eggs and nuts in their shells: For wishes of fertility. Gold and Silver: for good wishes of prosperity.</li><li>FRESH FLOWERS: To bring beauty in the couple’s life together. Fresh fruits: for a joyous future. Rosewater: to perfume the air and bring beauty.</li><li>DIPPING FINGERS IN HONEY: In Iranian weddings, The honey represents their sweet life together. As a tradition, while the Groom is holding the honey bowl, he puts his little finger into the honey and they feed it to each other.</li><li>&#8220;BALEH&#8221; : The important part in this tradition is the part where the officer asks the bride, &#8220;The bride does not answer and repeats the question three times &#8211; this symbolizes the groom&#8217;s journey to win the love of his wife.
